Automechanika 2024: A look back at the leading automotive trade fair

Automechanika 2024, which took place in Frankfurt from September 10 to 14, once again proved why it is the leading international trade fair for the automotive industry. With over 4,200 exhibitors from 80 countries, the exhibition showcased the entire value chain of the automotive aftermarket, including manufacturing, workshops, and trade.

This year, we were represented at Automechanika with two booths: Our main booth was located in Hall 8, and we were also present at the booth shared by the German Motor Trade Association (ZDK) and the “Zukunftswerkstatt” in Hall 9.

Highlights and innovations

AVL DiTEST was represented at Automechanika for the 12th time and can look back on a successful week at the exhibition. The focus was on our e-mobility products for the HV repair process, the new air conditioning service unit “chillAIR” and our digital solutions for emission measuring devices. These innovations underscore the importance of the exhibition as a platform for forward-looking technologies.

A particular highlight was the nomination of our AVL DiTEST rightCHARGE 11 kW for the Innovation Awards in the category “E-Mobility & Innovative Drive Technologies.” Our product for charging and discharging battery modules 🔋 made it into the top 5.

We also presented our latest diagnostic and measurement technology solutions, which have been specially developed to meet the requirements of modern workshops. These products not only offer maximum precision, but also user-friendly handling that makes everyday work in the workshop much easier.

Successful exhibition week

The event was marked by new products, interesting discussions, presentations, innovation awards, and a relaxed get-together on the first day. We invited exclusive customers, partners, the press, and colleagues to a party at our stand, which created a great atmosphere.

The German Association for the Automotive Industry (ZDK), the organizers of Zukunftswerkstatt 4.0, and Automechanika have collaborated to create a unique showcase for innovation at Automechanika. The special exhibition “Workshop of the Future” will be presented in Hall 9.0 on an area of around 1,000 m². The interactive show focuses on robotics, digitalization, and artificial intelligence and showcases numerous innovations that will influence workshop operations over the next ten years. Visitors can experience and try out new technologies live. The Innovation Lab and the supporting program also offer exciting insights and know-how on how to master future challenges and opportunities through new technologies. AND we at AVL DiTEST were part of the “Workshop of the Future” – with our e-mobility products, we were able to convince many interested visitors of our innovations and engage in equally interesting conversations and discussions.
