CALIBRATIONS ACCORDING TO DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
TOP QUALITY AT ALL SITES!

The AVL DiTEST Service Center in Germany is the first manufacturer of emissions testing measuring equipment1) to include calibrations according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 in its range. As a result, the activities previously performed (annual servicing, warranty extension, next day replacement device service) have been expanded to include an important service. In order to meet increasing market demands, the site in Graz was also able to implement this calibration standard in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Thanks to optimised processes, AVL DiTEST can respond more flexibly to customer requirements. The particle number concentration measurement parameter is now also covered in order to also perform calibrations on emissions testing particle measuring equipment.

The legal guideline, which has been valid since the start of January 2019 in Germany, prescribes annual, traceable calibration of emissions testing measurement devices. With the independent calibration laboratories, AVL DiTEST performs these traceable calibrations at both sites.

In addition to the central Service Center, customers and partners of AVL DiTEST also benefit from high quality standards and a unique replacement concept for petrol and diesel emission measuring equipment. This allows for rapid availability of replacement devices and minimum effort due to a clever plug & play principle.

WE HAVE THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION - ACCREDITED

For whom does the emissions testing device calibration guideline apply?

For everyone who uses emissions testing measuring equipment to perform statutory emissions testing.

For which devices does the emissions testing device calibration guideline apply?

For all emissions testing measuring equipment used to perform statutory emissions testing.

What should I do if my emissions testing measuring equipment is due for servicing?

After servicing, the emissions measuring equipment must undergo traceable calibration in accordance with the emissions testing device calibration guideline. So that we do not need to rely on several service providers, AVL DiTEST offers a service contract that combines all necessary activities.

What does this mean for my emissions testing measuring equipment?

The emissions testing measuring equipment must undergo annual calibration. New devices for emissions testing must only be put into operation with a valid and compliant calibration certificate in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 (note: the evidence that calibration has been passed). For the repair and servicing of emissions testing measuring equipment, calibration in accordance with the emissions testing device calibration guideline is required as of 01/01/2019.

As an existing customer, I have a service contract. Does this cover calibration?

When entering into a new service contract with AVL DiTEST, calibration in accordance with the emissions testing device calibration guideline will be included. Existing customers with an existing service contract can expand this to include calibration in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

I have not had my emissions testing measuring equipment serviced by AVL DiTEST before. What options are available for me?

The AVL DiTEST service contract offers you a complete package that includes annual servicing, calibration according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and warranty extension – all as part of a next day replacement equipment service. Should you not wish to benefit from the advantages of the service contract, the Service Center at AVL DiTEST also offers calibration in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 as a separate service. Alternatively, you can commission other accredited calibration laboratories.

What transition rules are currently relevant for me?

In Germany, the latest emissions testing device calibration guideline from 2021 provides for the mandatory introduction of particle concentration measuring. The deadline for introducing particle concentration measuring is no later than 01/07/2023.
