Check battery condition
AVL DITEST DCIR-PROBE for JLR
With the AVL DiTEST DCIR-Probe you can measure the internal resistance of a battery module and the resistance between modules (busbar) of a traction battery. Due to the compact design of the DCIR-Probe device, these measurements can be carried out easily and quickly in the workshop.
Intact batteries feature both low resistance of individual modules and low resistance of module connections. However, the resistance can increase in the case of older or defective modules or their connections. If high current is then drawn, such as during acceleration, the battery can overheat. This leads to a voltage drop and thus to a reduction in performance of the entire battery.
