Conditioning battery modules correctly

AVL DITEST MCS 120

The AVL DiTEST MCS 120 is a service device specifically tailored for electromobility, designed to condition individual modules of a traction battery in the workshop.

If a module in a vehicle's lithium-ion traction battery is defective and needs to be replaced, the first step is to identify and remove the defective module. Newly inserted modules must first be adjusted to match the state of charge of the remaining battery modules. If the state of charge of the new module deviates significantly from that of the other modules, the BMS (Battery Management System) will not activate the battery correctly. To prevent precisely this, use the AVL DiTEST MCS 120 device to condition individual modules.
