Increased CO₂ content in a vehicle‘s cooling system indicates a leak between the exhaust system and the cooling system. The cause of this could be the head gasket or the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system. Detecting abnormal CO₂ content at an early stage helps you avoid damage and costly repairs.
